Three non-governmental organizations have jointly filed a complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon, according to Pamir Inside.

The complaint was submitted by the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan (IRPT, designated as a terrorist organization in Russia), the Ukrainian Internationalist Volunteers Foundation (FUVI), and the civil society group Freedom for Eurasia.

The complainants accuse Rahmon of crimes against humanity. According to Pamir Inside, the complaint details instances of arbitrary detention, torture, sexual violence, abductions, killings, and other crimes. The evidence, they claim, is drawn from Tajikistan’s judicial and administrative systems, human rights reports, audiovisual documentation, and eyewitness testimonies.

The authors of the complaint are calling on the ICC to launch an investigation into the actions of Tajik authorities, including Emomali Rahmon, and to hold them accountable.
