Representatives of Azerbaijani fintech company PashaPay and the Uzbekistan Fintech Association have signed a memorandum of understanding, the press service of the INMerge Innovation Summit told Fergana News Agency.
The memorandum was signed in Tashkent during the INUzbekistan forum, which focused on the role of international alliances in fostering sustainable technology growth through innovation across Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the Middle East. The event was held with the support of IT Park Uzbekistan and took place as part of the broader INMerge Innovation Summit — a platform designed to connect regional tech ecosystems.
“The document affirms both parties’ commitment to developing the fintech industry and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Uzbekistan and beyond,” the press service stated.
Speakers at the forum’s opening included Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan; Temurbek Sadinov, Head of International Relations for IT Park’s startup division; and Tugra Musayeva, Head of Innovation at PASHA Holding, one of Azerbaijan’s largest investment firms.
In addition to the memorandum signing, the forum featured a keynote address titled “The Invisible Wall: Overcoming Bias in Innovation”, a fireside chat, and two panel discussions: “Borderless Fintech: Scaling Innovation Across New Markets” and “Capital and Innovation: How to Attract Investment in Early-Stage Startups.”
The program also included a Startup Pitch Competition, where early-stage project teams presented their ideas to a panel of investors and experts. The winning team, PromtLab, earned the opportunity to showcase their project internationally and compete for a share of a $30,000 prize pool on the main stage of INBattle.
The flagship event, the INMerge Innovation Summit — organized by PASHA Holding — will be held in Baku on September 29–30, 2025. More than 1,000 entrepreneurs, investors, top executives, and government officials from over 30 countries are expected to attend.
