99 Countries Set to Attend Tashkent Investment Forum

More than 8,000 people will take part in the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum, set to be held in the capital of Uzbekistan on June 16–18. Among them, over 3,000 foreign guests from 99 countries are expected to attend. This was reported to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a meeting dedicated to preparations for the large-scale event, according to the press service of the head of state.

The guest list is expected to include heads and members of foreign governments, leaders of major international financial institutions, large companies, investment funds, and representatives of the business community.

The meeting reviewed the forum's program and accompanying events. These include a plenary session, bilateral meetings, presentations of industries and regions, and ceremonies for the signing of investment agreements.

An exhibition of Uzbekistan's investment potential will showcase opportunities in agriculture, light industry, geology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, the chemical industry, energy, artificial intelligence, and the IT sector.

Also planned is the next plenary session of the Council of Foreign Investors under the President, where experts will address ways to further improve the country's investment climate, accelerate industrial and technological development, and create more favorable conditions for the private sector and international investors.

According to officials, a large package of agreements is expected to be signed at the forum, with active work currently underway to prepare new, promising projects.

The agreements span fields such as geology and metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, construction materials, digital technologies, energy and ecology, transport and logistics, and banking and finance. The projects are set to create new jobs, boost the production of high-value-added goods, strengthen export potential, modernize infrastructure, and enhance the investment appeal of the regions.

The fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum will run from June 16 to 18. The event serves as a platform to showcase Uzbekistan's business potential and to develop and promote mutually beneficial projects with foreign partners.
