The head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, has been appointed managing director of the Tashkent International Financial Center (TIFC), a post she will hold concurrently with her current one. The decree was signed by the head of the republic, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, according to his press service.
Under the document, the managing director serves as secretary general of the Financial Center's Council, is responsible for setting its agenda, and chairs its meetings in the chairman's absence.
Among the managing director's key responsibilities are coordinating the launch of the Financial Center, preparing priority documents, and building interaction between state bodies and the center's structures.
Mirziyoyeva's duties will also include:
✅ representing the TIFC in relations with international organizations, investors, and partners in Uzbekistan and abroad;
✅ taking part in personnel decisions, including the appointment of the executive director of the center's administration and his deputies;
✅ submitting recommendations on the leadership of the Financial Services Department.
The TIFC's managing director is also authorized to conclude agreements, form working groups, and engage outside experts.
Last June, Mirziyoyev revived the post of head of the Presidential Administration, abolished in 2023, and named his eldest daughter, Saida, to lead it. That November, it was reported that she had become co-chair of the American-Uzbek Business and Investment Council on behalf of Uzbekistan, with U.S. presidential envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor later confirmed as her American counterpart.
Saida Mirziyoyeva was born on November 4, 1984. A graduate of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, she holds master's degrees from Tashkent State University of Law and Lomonosov Moscow State University and is a candidate of economic sciences.
